About the Author Daniel Matamala Thomsen (Valdivia, 1978) es periodista de la Universidad Católica de Chile y Master of Arts en Periodismo Político de la Universidad de Columbia, Nueva York. Trabaja en CNN Chile, como conductor de los programas CNN Prime, Ciudadanos y Viaje al centro de la noticia; y en radio Sonar FM, en Sonar Informativo. Es autor de los libros Goles y Autogoles: la impropia relación entre el fútbol y el poder político (Planeta, 2001); 1962: el mito del Mundial chileno (Ediciones B, 2010); Tu cariño se me va: la batalla por los votantes del nuevo Chile (Ediciones B, 2013) y Power Games: how sports help to elect Presidents, run campaigns and promote wars (Columbia Global Center, 2014). Matamala recibió el Premio APES como mejor entrevistador de la televisión chilena 2011, el Premio Periodismo de Excelencia de la Universidad Alberto Hurtado 2011, y el Premio MAG por la mejor entrevista de 2012. Sus trabajos de investigación, entrevistas, reportajes y columnas han aparecido en Ciper Chile, Qué Pasa, La Tercera y The Huffington Post, entre otros medios.
